Wonderworks Communications leads a campaign challenging the drinks industry to ‘Bee More’

Award-winning positive impact calvados brand Avallen and leading female founded drinks marketing agency Wonderworks Communications have launched a new creative marketing campaign.

The campaign will raise awareness of the sustainability issues facing the drinks industry, while highlighting how Avallen are addressing them by putting planet positivity at the heart of all they do.

The promotion will premier in National Geographic Traveller Food and Positive News titles, with plans to extend into more media and OOH throughout the year. The opportunity to launch the campaign follows Avallen’s successful equity crowdfunding with Seedrs which the founders have chosen to invest in building brand awareness in the UK.

There are a series of key visuals that have been developed for the campaign, with the first being an arresting visual warning consumers ‘It’s Crunch Time’; the creative playfully celebrates Avallen’s main ingredient, the apple, while delivering the message that environmental issues are at a critical juncture and action is needed now The target audience for the campaign is consumers who make mindful decisions about the purchases they make and take action on sustainable causes they believe in.

The strapline for the campaign is ‘bee more’ which highlights the work Avallen do to save the bees, by committing to give 1% of their profits to The Bumblebee Conservation Trust as part of their 1% for the planet pledge. It also encourages consumers to ‘pour with purpose’ and to ‘bee more’ meaning you think more (and waste less).

Wonderworks Communications have been Avallen’s brand agency since they launched on World Bee Day in 2019. They created the brand’s bespoke illustrations, designed the award-winning packaging and have developed the creative for this latest advertising campaign.

Wonderworks have been recognised for their work on the brand, winning the Drinks Business Green Launch of the Year 2019 and Spirits Business Award 2019 for Innovation in Packaging Award.
