The House of Suntory is the new generation of super premium Japanese spirits from Beam Suntory. We introduced the portfolio to the London on-trade scene with a jaw-dropping Hanami installation you just can’t help but share on social, and a ‘twist on the classics’ afternoon tea menu.

The Challenge

Gain a listing with a top 1% account and transform their London terrace with a standout installation that drives sales and builds brand awareness and equity through social sharing.


Insight

We know that the London on trade is a highly competitive scene with consumers choosing venue, and drink through a filter of what they have seen on Instagram. To drive awareness of the venue, and the brands, we needed to create a terrace that people wanted to be seen in their Stories and on their Feed. With Japanese culture being on trend we knew we had to bring this core brand truth to life.

 
 


the APPROACH

The terrace takeover was styled to bring to life the brand world – striking a balance between the culture & traditions of Japan that lie at the heart of the brand, and the contemporary vision of the liquid and the venue. Our sakura wall could not be like every other sakura installation across the city – it had to cut through with colour, style & execution to set the backdrop for enjoying the amazing drinks on menu.


The Wonder

Consumers just couldn’t help but seek out the venue, order their drinks, and have their own instagrammable moment under the cherry blossom. Increased sales, and social mentions meant the commercial relationship with the venue has gone from strength to strength, with the activation being extended, and a long-term listing secured.
