Job Description: Senior Account Executive

We are seeking a senior account executive with a positive attitude. Our philosophy is that our tightknit team is capable of huge things; we define the WONDER in every brief and then find the specialists to bring that to life for our clients. As part of the team you will be a key driver in bringing moments of WONDER to everything that we do.

This is a pivotal position within the business.  It is a hybrid role split across both account management and studio management.

The perceived split will be 80/20 with much of your focus on account management.

You will be instrumental in supporting the senior account manager to manage and deliver creative projects which reflect the Wonderworks vision and standards. The structure of our agency means that you will be given a degree of autonomy with responsibilities beyond producing great project management. In return you will be rewarded with wide project exposure and talented people around you to learn from.

You will be keen to take ownership of your work, building strong and trusting relationships with your clients, through the guidance of your line manager and effectively engage and inspire multiple stakeholders both within the agency and externally.

With a keen interest in premium drinks and spirits brands you will be responsible for delivering beautifully crafted, premium, well designed communication materials including campaign key visuals, moving image, photoshoots, events, global toolkits, brand positioning platforms, education programmes, sales tools, printed collateral and digital assets amongst others.

You will report into the Senior Account Manager leading on a portfolio of drinks brands and be the day to day account support for key adult soft drink and premium spirts accounts.

Key responsibilities

Account Management [80% of the role]

Taking on new briefs, generating cost estimates and creation of project timing plans

  • Day to day client liaison and be the first point of contact alongside the SAM with key clients on their project requirements

  • Financial management of projects: including generating cost estimates, client approvals via procurement, PO tracking, invoicing, conducting regular reconciliations on jobs to track profitability.  All budgets to be generated via our finance system Workflow Max.  You are to become very familiar with Workflow Max and be confident in running job reports to track job profitability ensuring timesheets are completed by all personnel on the jobs you manage.

  • Internal agency weekly reporting: update the weekly team status sheet, generate weekly status reports on key clients.  Be the most informed person on the account knowing the next steps, key meetings and requirements on the job.

  • Schedule in planning & strategy and creative resource requirements on a weekly basis with the Planner and Design Director respectively.

  • As each new brief comes in, work with the SAM to prepare an on boarding document which summarises the client brief and deliverables and gives context to work.

  • Provide project management support to the Senior Account Manager as well as manage the progress and profitability of your own projects

  • Build trust and the confidence of clients delivering consistently and with flair and diligence

Studio Management [20% of the role]

  • Run the traffic scheduling for creative resource requirements via a weekly online booking system.

  • Ensuring effective use of working practices between the creative team and the client services team – from resource requests, to briefing, review and working to set budgets

  • Work closely with the Design Director to identify the resource required and book freelance talent to suit the job, budget and timings

  • Build a black book of recruitment agents which specialise in providing creative talent and build up contacts with creative freelancers direct across design, 3D visualisation, animation, conceptual work etc

  • Manage the NDA and payment paperwork/timesheets for freelance creatives as well as hold a commercial awareness of market industry day rates

 

Skills & qualifications

  • Minimum 1-3 years’ industry experience with creative integrated agencies

  • Marketing/Business degree or equivalent

  • Good eye for design, creative imagination, well organised with a strong work ethic

  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

  • Ability to meet demanding deadlines while maintaining high standards

  • Strong attention to detail

The package

  • Salary: £28,000 in line with experience

  • 3 month probationary period

  • Qualify for bonus structure following a successful probation

  • Perm role

  • Holiday allowance: 24 days [includes 3 x days for Christmas]
